art + space + audience
Currently studying Criticism & Curatorial Practice at the Ontario College of Art & Design. Research interests include how contemporary factors are changing the processes of historicization; what political/social/technological factors contribute to movement-free "movements"; and what elements in a space have the capacity to make art accessible and engaging to all audiences.

Howard Tangye
I love these drawings by Howard Tangye. The selective use of colour, and the sometimes-disjointed, sometimes-exaggerated composition, make these portraits extremely compelling.

Not all of her illustrations are as reminiscent of other things, but this one reminds me of Frida Kahlo.
And this bear reminds me of an Eric Carle illustration (but only vaguely).
